Or lack thereof.
I stumbled upon this the other day while we were moving goats from one pasture to another.
Can you guess what it is?
If you can answer yes to that question, then you're probably laughing right now.
If you still have your head turned to the side trying to figure it out, then all you need to keep telling yourself is "rainbows and unicorns, rainbows and unicorns, rainbows and unicorns."
Don't stop saying it. Or else you will soon realize what it really is and get all grossed out. And stop reading my blog. And I wouldn't want that.

9 Months with Kassidy
So I'm going to be an extra-nerdy Mom this month and talk about how much of a personality little Miss Kassidy has developed.
Seriously, if Brady and I weren't the simple life kind of couple, this girl would have a shot at every baby commercial out there. But, we're not moving to LA. And my baby is not going to get a big head.
Instead, she will learn to crawl in the grass, pet donkey's noses, screech at goats, let the wind hit her face on a gator ride, cuddle with Massey and give sweet kisses to her Mommy and Daddy.
Besides officially crawling up a storm, pulling up on everything, babbling nonstop, and really becoming familiar with what is around her, she has learned to give us the fishy face (thank you daycare), overcome her first of many baby bruises (thank you plastic chair), connect "mama" and "dada" to her actual Mommy and Daddy, hold conversations with her puppy, and give us all the cutest little high-fives in the world.
Brady and I joke that she will be the kid that grunts when she plays tennis one day, because she can't give a high-five without making this tiny squeal. Distraction on the tennis courts. That's what we're working toward. At a very young age.
So to add to Kassidy's funny farm, her Mimi and Gramps got her two bunnies for Easter that we named Huckle and Lowly. (Great Saturday morning kids cartoon by the way if you're like the Kujawskis and only get four TV channels.) And Kassidy loves to pet (or Lenny) them as we like to call it. This is a reference to Of Mice and Men, so every single one of you better know what I'm talking about. Or else I will shake my head in sadness.
Our dewberries should be ripe in about two weeks, so Kassidy is going to help me pick them and bake a homemade pie. And it looks like there is going to be a Lazy K crawfish boil in the very near future. So if you feel like hanging out in a different zip code, we'd love to have you. And if you're lucky, Kassidy will let you pet her bunny. And give you a high-five. And smile and squeal, cause that's how she rolls.
Oh, and she toots a lot too.

Google Satellite strikes again
It's sad when you can remember the timeline of your life according to what your place looks like on Google Satellite.
Take this picture for instance.
I know that this was taken this past summer, sometime after Kassidy was born, because our goat house had been thrown from its original location by a little twister while I was at the hospital giving birth.
Dang you Google Satellite for taking updated pictures of our place when there was absolutely no grass and no water.
It's the ugliest the poor little Lazy K Ranch has ever looked. Because last time, we were at least green.
Exhibit A: No more lower pond.
Exhibit B: A very low upper pond.
Exhibit C: Our entire place. In the color brown.
Where were we in these pictures? Probably inside, with a new little baby, with the A/C on about 70 degrees.
Hiding from Google Satellite.

8 Months with Kassidy
Kassidy literally became a celebrity on her 8th month birthday.
It just so happens that I needed a cute picture of a baby to accompany a story my office was working on related to infant motor development.
And it just so happens that I knew exactly where to find a cute baby.
And since the story got some nice attention from the media, Kassidy ended up in a variety of really cool places online.
Like Futurity, a national news site for top research universities.
Or CNET.
Or as the feature story in TAMUtimes, Texas A&M's online newsletter.
And, finally, on the actual Texas A&M homepage (screenshot below...way below. Like at the very bottom of this post).
After her 15 minutes of fame were up, Kassidy decided it was time to start pulling up with our help. First on Mommy. Then on her Baby Einstein table. And then on the dog.
That was pretty funny — I won't lie. Because every time Massey would move, Kassidy would fall face first on the floor and just look up and smile.
And besides starting to pull up and stand like a big girl, she decided to pretty much gum an entire pork chop the other day. Says a lot about Daddy's grilling skills.
And with two front teeth starting to poke through, it won't be long until this child has four pearly whites to help her out.
She's still so close to crawling, but hasn't quite figured out how to move forward instead of backward. But I know she'll get it soon.
And then I better start keeping my floors clean. Ugh.
Now she has no choice but to become an Aggie. Good thing she looks way cute in maroon.
